Hi and welcome to my belated dalliance with the blogosphere.

I’m a landscape photographer based in the English Lake District, so no surprises for guessing the main subject of my photographic work.

I do, however, tend to steer clear of the well worn Lake District photographic cliches, and most of my work is based amongst the higher reaches of the Lakes, the higher terrain of the fells and mountains, where it’s still possible to achieve solitude and a feeling of being alone in the wild.

If you can get even a small sense of that from my photos, then I’m doing something right.

Here I’ll try my best to keep you up to date with latest walks, wild camps, photos (of course), and hopefully some of the stories behind the images.
